Additional conditions
a. Funding
The OTB Research Institute for the Built Environment is willing to finance the costs involved in the supervision of a PhD-candidate and the cost involved in providing doctoral education. Neither does Delft University of Technology ask for a tuition fee. Unfortunately the OTB can not offer PhD scholarships. This means you need to organize the necessary resources for staying in the Netherlands yourself. Funding of approximately 1.000,00 euros per month for living and accommodation is required.

b. Language skills
PhD candidates will be expected to provide evidence of proficiency in the English language. PhD candidates whose native language is other than English or Dutch and who do not hold a degree from an institution in which English is the language of instruction must submit proof of English proficiency from either of the two following sources:
- TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) www.ets.org/toefl/
- IELTS (International English Language Testing System-academic version) www.ielts.org
