As Professor of Applied Geo-Information Infrastructure, Jaap Besemer is responsible for securing a clear positioning for geo-information facilities in general, and geo-information infrastructure in particular. His research activities are geared primarily to determining the optimal geo-information infrastructure from an institutional, administrative and organizational perspective. A large part of this research is carried out under the auspices of the Bsik programme Ruimte voor Geo-information (Space for Geo-Information).
